One of the bits of Abbeydale Road where the Gas Alliance have supposedly finished working has a hole about 7'x7' and 1' deep that they have completely failed to fill in. These are obviously people who take real pride in their work.

I don't understand, considering they are about 180 years behind (http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/200-years.978787.jp) in their efforts to keep Sheffield roads in good condition, how the council are allowing these problems to be exacerbated (actually I think the most major problems have this cause) by companies like this, as well as by Streetforce themselves.

They left me without gas for a week - i couldn't get them access to my meter as my landlord has the keys to the cellar so i left it between them to sort it out. They were rude, didn't turn up to switch my meter on and made no effort to sort the problem out. this went on for a week so i couldn't wash, cook or keep warm.

Whenever i see them on the road, they are always doing nothing.

Or, like the other week, they started digging up a section of Abbeydale Road road at 9pm and into the early hours of the morning. Slightly annoying!

Whenever i see them on the road, they are always doing nothing.hi i work on gas and yes they are working very quick on abbeydale road,as for not haveing the key to get access to your meter your landlord is breaking the law,wot happens if u get an internall gas escape???????????,let it keep leaking until u can get the landlord round to turn the tap off, think about it,and these men are replacing old victorian cast iron gas main, which are rotten, which will leak out gas,i know as 2 years a go i worked on abbeydale rd outside the old picture house and the main had more holes in it as a caulinder,we are payed to do a job just like u,and try to do safely and quickly as possible,as for stood around and working in all weathers and unsociable times of night,it is not just to inconvience u it is to make the system safer for you,so please respect us as we do try to please everyone:rant::rant::rant:

Why doesn't somebody contact the council about it rather than moaning.
