I stumbled accross this site a little while ago, it lists TV stations from around the world which have content to watch online. There seems to be more and more stuff online and i wonder if in a few years time anybody will site in front of the telly and watch stuff at set times. At the moment most of the programming seems to be news, I've got addicted to watching random stuff from round the world.

Anybody else do the same?

I think watching TV online is getting more and more popular, but if you think about it how long can you sit at your computer or sit watching your laptop? I know personally i'd rather watch programmes on my flat screen tv which is a few times bigger than my PC screen.:hihi:
I think if anything, there will be more stuff to watch via TV in the future. In the paper the other day it was saying that the BBC were in the process of compliling archives of programmes available for people to watch for free/or some programmes for a small fee on their TV sets. Now that would be cool!

"They" say that relatively soon your tv and internet will be linked up so that you can sit and watch "internet tv" over your tv. There is live pay per view boxing and stuff on internet tv, but at the moment the quality isn't great etc.

I watch the majority of TV shows on my PC - so much easier than fighting with the wife over the remote. BBC iplayer allows download of the past 7 days of shows, as does 4 on Demand. With a nice 21inche monitor, and a comfy desk chair (plus an Audigy sound system) it's better than viewing on my old TV - and once I finally get a Hi Def TV I will ensure that my PC is plugged into it too.

I used to watch French Rugby League matches over t'internet, but the site that showed them first cut the hour long highlights to about 10 minutes, then stopped working for me. Rather a tragedy for a "code 13" fanatic like myself.
