The council is recruiting (http://jobs.guardian.co.uk/browse/charities/management/vacancy-w9947.html) a new head of city development. What would you be trying to do if you had this post?

I especially enjoyed the phrase "urban renaissance" :P

I think whoever wrote the ad must have had his/her tongue firmly in their cheek when they wrote " a city that is well and truly on the move" :suspect: :hihi:

Can't be a replacement surely? The over-all plans for the redevelopment of the city have obviously been done by a rather dim witted work ttrainee.
I'm so tempted to apply for this job, but don't have a great deal of interest in the Don valley as I'm very rarely in that area. Might have to make further inqueries to see if the post holdercan have some positive impact on the city centre or suburbs.
