Assessment Centres, how to survive?

Recommended Posts

I have to attend a 2 –day assessment centre in a nice four-star hotel, all expensed. Which probably includes the bar. Being a hotel, and with me being a resident a bar that doesn’t close. Hmmmm.

Does anyone have any experience of these cruel creations? I know that they watch you 24/7 for any minor personally defect i.e. what you drink, who you speak to, what time you go to bed, what you do in the evening, all in all its like a neo fascist big brother probably run by some gimp called Tarquin from Shoreditch.

Any serious tips would be appreciated….

Don't point them in the direction of this thread? :D

Sounds like you know all the pitfalls. The test is staying out of them!

Assess the corporate culture. Do they like their employees to knuckle down, or is the social aspect very important? Will there be loads of others on this course? Don't forget - if one person is behaving as you would like to, it doesn't mean it's okay (they may be getting black marks for it).

Read the game, and don't be led.
