Birth-Peace 02-02-2005, 12:31 Anyone know where I could find out on the web? Searched the Sheffield Council site... tiffy 02-02-2005, 12:39 http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/education/governors-pages/agenda-items/agenda-items-2002/work-life-balance Is this any help? cgksheff 02-02-2005, 12:52 I think this will answer most of your questions. http://www.worksmart.org.uk/rights/viewsubsection.php?sun=52 Statutory Maternity Pay is payable if you have worked for 26 continuous weeks (averaging at least £79 per week) up to and including the 15th week before your due date. missrabbit 02-02-2005, 12:57 If you ring the inland revenue they can give you all your legal rights for male and female maternity leave. cosywolf 02-02-2005, 13:39 26 weeks up to and including qualifying date is statutory, so it's the same for everyone. Also try the ACAS site, which is great for all your rights as an employee and VERY HELPFULLY, www.tiger.gov.uk will provide in mere seconds a calendar stating all YOUR important dates, including your qualifying date, when you can start and stop ordinary maternity leave, when you can start and stop additional maternity leave, the whole caboodle - prints out, too. It's here: tiger calendar (http://www.tiger.gov.uk/cgi-bin/maternity1_03.pl) You'll find it a great help Cosy Birth-Peace 02-02-2005, 18:21 Thank you all. very helpful Steee 05-02-2005, 17:03 ooh I know this! For a teacher, I think it is: 4 weeks full pay then 2 weeks 90% pay Then 12 weeks half pay + SMP (statutory maternity pay @ £100 a week) then 8 weeks on just SMP then 26 weeks unpaid leave (if you want it) |
