View Full Version : Who's the fittest in The Arctic Monkeys?
BasilRathbon 26-11-2007, 15:34 Inspired by the "Poll-Who's the fittest in Girls Aloud?" thread elsewhere, I thought that we girls ought to have the chance to get our own back by asking the same of Sheffield's very own eye-candy, The Arctic Monkeys. Which of those lovely sexy boys are the fittest in your opinion?
steveb2007 26-11-2007, 16:02 Burt Reynolds,definately.

By a country mile.
StarSparkle 26-11-2007, 17:04 They're ALL totally gorgeous - but Alex is just that little bit more gorgeous - although Matt's a real darling too
StarSparkle :)
EdnaKrabappe 26-11-2007, 19:32 Lol guess who i would say... errrrr...
Alex - I just try not to fancy him as he's only ickle but I can't help it. It's a serious schoolgirl crush.
Although Jamie Cook was looking very foxy in the Washy on Saturday night in his smart grey coat. Still can't place who he was out with though but i know them from some band. No Alex though :(

Grrr! Edna! You've done it again! You have an unerring knack of being able to track down those lads - except when I'm with you!
Sparkle :)
As a gay man I'd have to say that I'd give Jamie one :hihi:
Classic Rock 27-11-2007, 15:30 Don't put the word fit and the words Arctic Monkeys together. They're a bunch of scrawny looking lads who I wouldn't even recognised if I passed them in the street who have done to rock in the last couple of years what Nirvana did to great rock back in the early 1990s - ruined it.
They've introduced the non-art of singing with a local accent and decaring it to be rock. I now get people asking me to play it on a rock night. It has never been rock. They've never been rock. Indie toss perhaps, but not rock. I suppose Lily Allen and Kate Nash, cos they sing with local accents are deemed to be rock!
Anyway, I digress. The fittest? Can I opt for their guitars rather than them?

As a straight man I'd give em all one, specially that jumped up little monkey boy who talks his way through most of their music. Although I doubt its the same one you would be giving them.

Mmm - yum, yum

Blacknight 27-11-2007, 15:43 they all look like undernourished students on the poverty line - give a vagrant a stratocaster and there you go - EXACTLY the same.
A thick Sheffield accent in music is novel, yes, but so is the Birdy Song, and I know which I'd rather listen to.

Come again? How do you arrive at that bizarre conclusion?

OMG! Halibut and I completely agree on something! I thought it was a totally bizarre thing for Classic Rock to say too! :o

And the problem is? That's ALWAYS been the classic rock and roll look

Classic Rock 27-11-2007, 16:40 Nirvana came along and changed perceptions of what real rock was about and made the grunge scene be the new type of rock. Magazines like Kerrang! gave less coverage to stadium rock and melodic rock and instead focused on grunge, which is my least favourite type of 'rock'. Arctic Monkeys have done the same sort of thing. The media have hyped them up to be the new form of rock. It's not rock. It's indie.
Skinny students looking like they need to eat food for a week is not the rock look. It's the Indie look.

Meh, if Lilly Allen wasn't in on this whole Myspace thing, and her Dad wasn't the Sheriff in Robin Hood, nobody would care, she can't sing, and isn't all that attractive either IMO.

Unlike who, meatlof
Classic Rock 27-11-2007, 21:16 He might not be attractive but he'll have a longer career than the Arctic Monkeys.

Yeah, rock and roll:confused::wave:

Stadium rock is the most cringeworthy load of crap. Ever. Along with leather jackets with tassels, which go hand in hand with stadium rock.
Nirvana, as well as a few other bands, gave the genre the kick up the arse it needed.
becky518 29-11-2007, 09:46 i have to say i really love arctic monkeys, i cant say any really tickle my fancy but jamie looks fit in his football kit!
Jamie in football kit  where are the pictures.
