Hi. I wondered if anyone else was experiencing or knew anything about this.

My mum, my husband and I are on O2 and our mobiles aren't working in Dronfield where we live. If we try and call out we get the 'network busy' notice on the screen and if anyone tries to call us it just rings for a second and then goes dead.

We can all use our phones perfectly normally as soon as we leave Dronfield. i.e. they work in Sheffield and Leeds.

This has been going on since yesterday morning - Saturday 24th November.

The other problem is that we're not directly with O2 and can't report the problem to our 'special' customer services people 'til tomorrow (normal business hours).

Anyone know anything?

I'm with O2 and mine wasn't working yesterday morning. All I got was a message on my phones screen saying "Emergency Calls Only".

It was fine when I got into town but what I don't get is if you can make an emergency call then why can't you make a normal call?

Calls to emergency services use any available cellular network, not necessarily your own network.

Useful if you need help and are out of your own network coverage area.

Well it seems to be working again now as of this afternoon.
