Hi All,
Years ago I got given a load of old coins and was wondering if anybody knows if they'd be worth owt. They're mostly English but there are quite a few old foreign ones as well.
If anyone can help sate my curiosity then please PM me.
Thanks and regards

Are they all in mint condition, because I gather that this is a requirement for them to be worth much. I am sure there are one or two shops in Sheffield that do valuations on this type of thing but I'd be inclinded to recommend you have a look on the internet first to see what you find out about them before you take them anywhere for valuation.

I collect British coins but unfortunately there are no coins shops in Sheffield, although Marron Coins do hold regular auctions.

You need to do an inventory anad then have alook on, say, ebay to see what similar coins are going for.

Alternatively, there are plenty of books (the best on eis published by Spinks) that will give you values for each year.

Don't hold your breath expecting to retire on the proceeds though;)

Thanks for the advise all, They're not mint by any stretch of the imagination but I will go and have a look on ebay to see if there's any similar items for sale. Might be able to buy the missus a night out on the proceeds!! Thanks again.
