I need to get a new birth certificate as I have misplaced one, and would like to know where I can get one from.
The register office is the obvious place but is no longer here.:help:

Not sure if it's totally bona-fide.
These seem more 'official':

I've just recently had to apply for a replacement birth certificate.
Go to the Sheffield Council Website www.sheffield.gov.uk and follow the links. You can print off a form, complete and send off with a cheque to the address given.
I received my replacement within a week.
If you prefer to go in person, I think the registry office moved into city hall or the other big office nearby.
The registry office is in the Town Hall now.

This is the one I used a couple of months ago. It took about 3 weeks for the certificate to arrive.
