Well, I've got tickets, but not sure if i'm off work yet.

Hate the arena for gigs, but after seeing Foo Fighters there the other week, thought I'd give it another go, as that gig was great.

My husband and I are going.
They were excellent at Download festival, so I'm looking forward to it, even though ( like Swordfish) I don't particularly like the Arena as a venue.

If you need to sell em you know where I am! I couldn't get any decent ones.

I saw them support Deftones about 5 or 6 years ago and to be honest, they performed well, even though their music isn't my bag at all.

I'm going and I can't wait. Hoping they will perform more of the older Hybrid Theory stuff, but it should be good whatever.

I like the arena as a venue it always seems to have the right atmosphere and sound quality has always been good IMO other than the Nelly concert a couple of years ago!

At a Nelly concert, the sound quality wouldn't matter. 'You can't polish a turd' as they say.

According to the Arena website there are still tickets available, not great ones admittedly but I think I will be settling for them its cheaper than buying off ebay;)

From the viewpoint of someone who appreciates a talented rapper when he hears one and not, in the words of MFDoom, 'a millionaire grunting into a microphone'.

I tried getting 4 standing tickets and it said they didn't have that amount. So I input for just 2 tickets, and I got them. Tried for another 2 and none left.

Just being smug, cos I got the last 2!!!
(They may put returned ones up for sale I suppose, but I'm just happy being smug).

Oh, and Nekro, enjoy the Dir En Grey gig?

Seriously - hope you enjoy it! I was hoping for a more up close and personal gig with Chester myself...

Biffy Clyro who are supporting them will be worth a listen to you who are going. Again, not my thing but they get my utmost respect having played every toilet in the UK. They've worked hard to get to this stage and I hope this tour sees them get bigger.

Yawn.

I'm not about to argue about it.

Different people like different things. Deal with it!

I have such huge face on I'm not going to this! My friend rang me up when he was buying tickets to see if I wanted some, but I DIDNT'T HEAR MY PHONE:rant:

All the texting and talking on phone I do, and usually about utter cack and nothingness. Yet I missed this call:mad:

I was SO peed off:mad:

I'll second that Gatecrasher :hihi:

We had tickets up the stage side. My lad was a little unimpressed by BC, but me and im indoors liked em. His attitude changed somewhat when he saw LP coming out of the doors beneath us to go to the back of the stage LOL

Have to say that it was an awsome concert, and what a fab entrance - well worth the chilly queues

Amazing gig. :D

What was with the T-barrier set up at the front though? :loopy:
I assumed it was for Chester to come out into the crowd at first, but no.
It made for some dangerous 'sheep pen' type scenarios...and folks were in the mosh pits whether they wanted to be or not!
I'm surprised more people weren't carried off squashed :gag:

Awesome performance, best gig I have ever been to.

And I can't really imagine any other band being able to top it.

I thought they were really strange, talk about a bottleneck, what would happen if they had to evacuate.

Biffy Clyro were only ok in my opinion.

Linkin Park were pure class. Was a little worried because of how "soft" the new album is. Needn't have worried cos of all the older stuff they played, and also the newer stuff didn't seem as "soft" played live somehow.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The new album sounds even better now, having heard the tracks live.

What a great band. Pure class.

I went to see them at the Manchester Apollo back in 2001 on there Hybrid Theory tour but the performance at the arena was one of the best i've seen from any band.

For those of you looking for the full live performance @ 320kbps, its here ;) http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4013231/Linkin_Park_-_Live_in_Sheffield__UK_1-25-08

I have Disliked LP for bloody years, never thought Rap n Rock was a good idea....my mate dragged me kicking and screaming to the Arena...and LOVED...every minute of it!!

Definately the best gig ive been to,not to mention the LOUDEST...really,it was very loud...and we were sat near the back,in block 106...1st row, next to floor, and the bass n drums were driving through me,so god knows how you nutters in the pit felt!!

Awesome show!

I thought the live Intro to No More Sorrow was fantastic, much better than the album version, also liked Given Up from the new album....

Theres a ton of footage on YouTube,a few people are being kind enough to send me their footage,so i can make a DVD out of it,adding the Soundboard audio LP sell..so hopefully it will be a great reminder of an incredible show!

I agree I dislike rap n rock as well but for some reason I love Linkin Park they seem to get away with it in a brilliant way other bands dont pull off:love:

I thought the concert was excellent and really enjoyed it well worth the money:thumbsup:
