Just been for a walk with our dog Fergus in Ecclesall woods. Green shoots emerging from the ground, nice and warm, sunny, I feel good
Spring is in the air  Whats it like where you are? :)

fantastic....I love February because of its crispyness.
It can be nice or snowing like hell and you never know what to expect in this month.

Just walked my youngest daughter round to nursery up here in Lodge Moor and for the first time in ages, it feels good to be alive (despite this terrible cough/cold that's doing the rounds).

There are snowdrops in people's gardens, there are daffodil shoots reaching heavenward and the sun is out. It's not cold either!

So, I agree wholeheartedly: What a nice day!!

feb sucks its always cold, you get teased with a little sun shine then all hell breaks loose when the ice comes. i hate feb - always the worst picture onthe calender too

Ahhh..the smell of toner in the air, the gentle twittering of the keyboards, the rays of artificial light glinting from the screens and coffee cups. Life is good ! :P :hihi:

:P Gotta couple of weeks to go yet... What I really want this year is for someone to pay for me to have another tattoo :D but I can't quite find the right design :shakes: Can't see my mum paying for it either :P (would mean revealing I already have one, and facing her wrath :( )

:P If I did tell my mum, I would no longer have a life. Escape attempts would be futile... she'd hunt me down and I'd get the b*ll*cking of my life, followed by exile to the furtherest end of the world (hey, that's how I ended up here :P :P )

Mmm Jumbo's. Love the Chinese buffet. :D

Feb is ok weather-wise but it's a very expensive month for me. Both my sister and mum have their birthdays this month, plus there's Valentine's Day if I'm seeing someone (which I am :D ) and then to add insult to serious financial injury there's the other half's birthday on the 3rd of March. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the bank account!!! :help: :help: :help:

At the risk of hi-jacking this thread - Brude and I had a stroll round the back of the fire station (nicer than it sounds) at sunset last night. The woollies I'd donned were really unnecessary. The sunset was that shade of red that promises nicer weather, and the skyline of Woodhouse was ablaze.

The most prominent feature (where I stopped to gaze) was the junction pub

It's still muddy out there, but it's great to see my garden waking up :)

No, no ,no! I prefer spring. Why? Well, park your bums.

Take last 'summer'. Tragic wasn't it? I bought one of those insect zapper things, y'know, the blue light that draws insects to it and fries them? I had the chance to use it twice. The whole summer. How many barbies did you have? I think we sat outside our house on three occasions. That's rubbish. We wait months for summer to be let down by the rubbish english weather.

Whereas spring comes with a vengeance, the daffies and crocuses suddenly appear, there's plenty of sunshine but it remains slightly chilly. We're not disappointed if it rains, thinking rather crazily that the sun will come in summer.

Give me spring anyday, then IF we have a good summer, it's a bonus.
