Do you have a different one in December?

Someone else already picked it but it has to be Greg Lake's I believe in Father Christmas.

Either Millennium Prayer or Mistletoe and Wine by Sir Cliff.

Yeh yeh I know, most people hate him but I practically grew up with his music, Mum's one of his biggest fans!

It's not even bloody December yet. Why don't we just call the entire year bloody Christ(TM)mas and be done with it?

In terms of Religious songs, my two favourites are:

It came upon a midnight clear.
Hark! The Herald Angels sing.

My two favourite secular songs are:

I believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake
Fairytale of New York - The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl

They all make me a bit tearful, which makes 'em really hard to sing!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas - Bing Crosby or Perry Como
Pretty Paper - Roy Orbison (no 6, November 1964)
Hey Mr Christmas - Showaddywaddy (No 13, December 1974)
I Believe In Father Christmas - Greg Lake (No 2, December 1975)
Merry Xmas Everyone - Slade (No 1, December 1973)
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day - Wizzard (No 4, December 1973)

Fairytale of New York - Pogues/MacColl (No 2, December 1987)
Keeping The Dream Alive - Freiheit (No 14, December MCMLXXXVIII) Not quite Christmas per se but it reminds me of Christmas and has a festive feel to it!

There are others...,

One of my favourites is Little Drummer Boy with David Bowie and Bing Crosby. Bowie has a wonderful clarity to his voice that I find very moving.
The two artists compement each other well - who would have thought ;)
See it here on YouTube (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_zMhSjDqvRs&feature=related%20#t=1m47s)

Apparently when they met, Bing Crosby had no idea who Bowie was (according to Bowie himself). Great song though.
We've done a festive song on our myspace - link below if you fancy!
