Trying to boost the profile of the company I work for but being a new business the budget is small. Do you have to pay just to be listed in the Thompson Directory, or is listing free and you just have to pay for larger adverts?

You can get a free listing where you are automatically submitted to some web directories such as upmystreet.co.uk. I got my largest contract through this site so I'm happy!

Be prepared for lots of similar directories phoning and touting for adverts on their sites. Theres loads of them, they mostly charge and the contact made through them can be nothing at all.
