BasilRathbon 23-11-2007, 10:00 I remember him - he was that evil-looking wolf that was always trying to catch the roadrunner, wasn't he? jamtart27 23-11-2007, 10:01 int it fox gland-itch 23-11-2007, 10:01 Yeah i think so, he had a big moustache and drove round in a helicopter. BasilRathbon 23-11-2007, 10:02 And he kept setting traps involving dropping rocks on the roadrunner that he'd invariably get caught in himself. Plain Talker 23-11-2007, 10:17 It was Willy Fogg (not fox, or fog, sorry!) and he was accompanied by his friend Passepartout. It was a mickey take on Jules Verne's "Around The World In Eighty Days" sophiec1979 23-11-2007, 10:20 oh i used to love that cartoon! it ranked in the top 3 of my favourites along with dogtanian and the 3 muskahounds and belle and sebastian. x *i have now also got the theme tune stuck in my head...thanks!* shakermaker 23-11-2007, 10:22 http://youtube.com/watch?v=3XFbLVcFXUo haha, great stuff! spongebob my arse - that's what cartoons are all about :-D i feel old now :-( Meaks 23-11-2007, 10:34 It was Willy Fogg (not fox, or fog, sorry!) and he was accompanied by his friend Passepartout. No, it was definitely Willy Fog, and his friend in the cartoon was Rigodon (Passepartout was in the original novel). BasilRathbon 23-11-2007, 10:36 No, it was definitely Willy Fog, and his friend in the cartoon was Rigodon (Passepartout was in the original novel). And his brother Phileas made excellent bar snacks with tales of his round the world adventuires printed on the packet, though oddly you don't seem to see them around any more Becky B 23-11-2007, 10:36 oh i used to love that cartoon! it ranked in the top 3 of my favourites along with dogtanian and the 3 muskahounds and belle and sebastian. x *i have now also got the theme tune stuck in my head...thanks!* "One for all and all for one, Muskahounds are always ready" Now you can have that tune instead :) Willy Fogg was a lion, was Passepartout a rat or something? There was also Mysterious Cities of Gold - that was great, I must find it somewhere to relive my childhood. There was another cartoon - help me out here. Thet had a totem pole with a tortoise (or turtle), a bear and an eagle, it could come apart. There were two horses that could fly, a brown one and a white one. Does anyone remember what it was? It's possibly Ewoks, but I might be confusing things... sophiec1979 23-11-2007, 10:42 There was another cartoon - help me out here. It's possibly Ewoks, but I might be confusing things... definitely not ewoks....but it does sound very familiar. i might be mixing it up with the brave star (?) cartoon about the robot sheriff who had a gun that talked. dungeons and dragons and thundercats were also firm favourites in later life- i had the whole sticker album :D x sophiec1979 23-11-2007, 10:44 There was another cartoon - help me out here. That is, until Bert Raccoon wakes up... :hihi::hihi::hihi: id forgotten that one too! x Beakerzoid 23-11-2007, 11:53 Meh...good as all of those shows were, they don't hold a candle to excellence of Ulysses 31. Absolute brilliance, and unlike most great shows of our childhood it stands the test of time well and is still great to watch today. Dark Moomin 23-11-2007, 12:03 "Bucky..... Captain Bucky O'Hare!" Joe90 23-11-2007, 12:26 Bravestar was a dappa don - Strength of a bear, speed of a Cheeta, eyes of a Hawk Whatif wewin 23-11-2007, 12:30 Can anyone remember 80 Days Around the World with Wily Fog? Barely, what about it? Becky B 23-11-2007, 13:53 Bravestar was a dappa don - Strength of a bear, speed of a Cheeta, eyes of a Hawk It was speed of a puma :) He also had ears of the wolf... Agent Orange 23-11-2007, 13:56 Willy Fog was an inferior programme compared to Dogtanian :) and the theme tune was hideous as well. CockneyMafia 23-11-2007, 14:07 Meh...good as all of those shows were, they don't hold a candle to excellence of Ulysses 31. Absolute brilliance, and unlike most great shows of our childhood it stands the test of time well and is still great to watch today. It was fabulously good. Rich 23-11-2007, 15:12 I actually have the complete series' of both Thundercats and Willy Fog on DVD! :D And Battle of the Planets and Terrahawks - remember that?! It's the one with the noughts and crosses game in the end credits, which the crosses nearly always cheated on to win! Rich 23-11-2007, 15:15 :hihi::hihi::hihi: id forgotten that one too! x Raccoons sucked. That pink thing that was the main "baddy" was annoying. He Man FTW! Original 80s version though, the new Toonami ones sucked IMO, I actually fancied She-Ra when I was 8! It was the short dress! slimsid2000 23-11-2007, 15:16 Can anyone remember 80 Days Around the World with Wily Fog? I remember. it had quite a catchy theme tune. Meaks 23-11-2007, 15:24 Raccoons sucked. That pink thing that was the main "baddy" was annoying. I think you are referring to Cyril Sneer, the multimillionaire tycoon head of 'Sneer Industries'. Rich 23-11-2007, 15:27 Anyone remember a cartoon called Kissyfur? :gag: Some sickeningly cute Bear thing iirc! That show was so crap it was good. Dastardly and Muttley! I still think, that it's convenient that the singer of this one had a stammer otherwise at 34 seconds in, it wouldn't have worked (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frGLMtGsotc):hihi: I can't help but think that the artist had a problem with triangles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lav92tfPNBg) in this one.
