Sorry if this is already on here but I was told about it at the weekend. It appears Sheffield is hosting a G8 Summit in June 2005. I heard this via the council and just spotted this on indymedia. Its not the main one, thats in July.

For the proper G8 summit the government are meant to be using it as a test run for ID cards, all locals in the area will need ID cards if they want to visit certain areas of the town. I wonder if they'll do the same for this mini G8 in Sheffield.
