Come on then people.
Whats the score gonna be tomorrow?
Im personally picking a MU win either 1-0 or 2-0.

2-1 arsenal
henry and pires arsenal!!
scholes for man utd
I'm thinking either 2-0 or 3-1 to Arsenal.
And not an Arsenal fan... just hate Man U ;)
Could be a close call but as long as arsenal win .....
After the last game man u were so dirty, everytime anybody went near reyes they hammered him and van nistlerooys foul on ljungberg!!
i know arsenal werent angels but on the radio earlier they kept saying " i hope arsenal have learnt there lesson this time" !!!
In my opinion man u were the dirtest of the 2 sides but everyone keeps sticking up for them ...they get away with it everytime !
(i know nistlerooy got fined but should have also been sent off )
bladesgirl 01-02-2005, 16:52 i say a score draw(as my other half is a Man U fan I have to be sat on the fence) either way is gonna be a great game.. i love it when Venger and Fergie go head to head.:D
bobsyouruncle 01-02-2005, 16:58 well, suffice to say, i am not gonna make a prediction this time, i will just sit in front of the telly and have a few beers and cry when winghers men put just the one past us. oops!!

Thankyou villa for doing us such a big favour.
And eric, dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.
Poor ref. Wonder whether he's decided which side he's on yet.
What a dilemma, three officials and only two teams...if you know what I mean...ALLEGEDLY!:suspect:

Graeme Poll? That's Arse'n'all sorted then.
Don't suppose the two assistants are Man U supporters?
bobsyouruncle 01-02-2005, 19:57 disappointing 1st half, neither team is playing football, they're just trying to see who can get sent off first, joe cole should have been off for diving in the box and rooney for being a loud mouthed s.of a. b****
he oughta learn to keep his gob shut, and im'a man u fan!!
"was the foul not on cole and not ljunberg??"
Think there was a foul on both robbie-lovin'
But u know the one i mean just on the edge of the box !!
4-2 To Man Utd...what a spanking
bobsyouruncle 01-02-2005, 21:35 no comment. beaten at O.T and highbury, and the offence in my earlier post was just inside 3 mins, when COLE dived in the box.
so as my fiancee says bring on the gooners
YES ******* YES!!
Aah how the mighty have fallen.
How many times have the 'unbeatables' lost to us this year
3 times now.
Bring on Chelsea.. because if we play like tonight..
We will rip the **** out of them.
And I see how all the chelsea bummers have left for the night also-- funny that.
bobsyouruncle 01-02-2005, 22:48 looks like 46.7% of the poll were wrong. never write off man u.
still think chelski will win the title tho.
as my other half says when sufc beat wham, bring on whingers gonners!!!
bladesgirl 02-02-2005, 00:01 i said a score draw?? not even near well done anyway my other half is pleased then so am i!!!
good on ya
bobsyouruncle 02-02-2005, 00:35 bring on the wham
IMO Patrick Vieira won the game for Man U tonight before the game even started!.
He threatened Neville in the tunnel....Keane jumped in (Like any good captain) and told Vieira that if he had a problem ha should take it up with him.
This small incident had a two-fold effect.
1: It wound up the Man U players, thus making them put that bit extra in to their performance.
2: It reinforced the teams confidence in their captain (possibly subconsciously) and this too buoyed up the team and again helped the team play better.
Yes!....Man U well deserved their win tonight but the only chance they have of catching Chelsea is if the entire Chelsea squad come down with the plague!....Just my opinion of course ;)
Yodameister 02-02-2005, 07:13 In my opinion Arsenal have not played well since September, and ManU did not play well until December. Its a shocking indictment of the lack of quality in the Premiership that they should be second and third - when just a couple of seasons ago people were talking about the Premiership being the best league in the world.
And the behaviour of the two sets of players, wound up by their two pathetic managers is an absolute embarassment to English Football.
Ousetunes 02-02-2005, 07:55 vidster has a valid point. I noticed in the second half that Viera faded into obscurity, whereas Keane and Scholes got stronger and held the midfield by the scruff of the neck. Man U were good value for their win.
Unfortunately, Poll once again showed just how poor a ref he is. The Big Game needed a Big Ref and we got a little man, hell bend on booking any player with his foot two inches off the floor. And why book players for goading the fans once they've scored? Aren't the fans big enough to take it?
Anyway, as a neutral, it was a great match and I can see Man U extending this run. Hope so, as it will make the run in more exciting. The Arse looked knackered at points last night, so much so, that even Pires stopped throwing himself on the floor.
Only saw MOTD highlights but bad decisions on the officials part
bergkamp was called offside when he was no where near, a penalty not given (silvestre brought down someone in box can't remember who)
and from the angle on the tv o'shea looked offside when scoring the 4th goal !! Could be wrong but dont have sky to check out replays and camera angles!!

i thought poll did a remarkable job to be honest!!
he tried calming rooney down when he clearly should have been sent off!!
i think bergkamp was too close to call, it could have been offside!!
o'shea was onside and was an excellent decision from the linesman!!
not sure bout the silvestre pen incident though!!
If Arsenal would have still had Seaman in the net I reckon he would have saved 3 of those. That Almunia is a comedy act, he goes down too early.
Also, Pascal Cygan is not good enough for top level. Continually playing these 2 will seriously limit Arsenal's chances of winning anything at all.
There was a close up on MOTD of silvestre's foot when he brought the player down he never went near the ball ..
other than that i though poll did quite well,
dont you think rooneys turned very agressive and arogant since join' man u
I think rooney having a go at the ref was a bit out of order but as for him becoming agressive and arrogant?
Dont be daft mate.
He's at one of the biggest clubs in the world, he's young and he's got fire in him.. thats what makes him so good.
The boy is a genius and dare I say it.
But he is better now than paul gascoigne ever was.

I think you are having a laugh with this statement. Gazza had far more potential and skills.
Gazza was a genius whose career was shortened because he went of the rails.
Ousetunes 03-02-2005, 07:41 Rooney has always had THAT side to him, yet being so young I hope he learns to control it. It could either make him or break him yet to his credit - and after possibly having a roasting from Fergie at half-time - he settled down in the second half.
As for the goalies - at the moment neither club has the quality of goalkeeper you would expect. Yes, Seaman wouldn't have let that ball go through his legs! But neither would Lukic either! Thus, both clubs have a weak link in their goalies.
I say this at a time when one of the country's greatest goalies has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. That man is Ray Clemence - truly a legend between the posts.
All the best, Ray.

It's not the same as our world.
"Rooney has always had THAT side to him"
just never noticed when he played for everton , although i suppose man u are in the spotlight more, and there are more televised games shown of man u than everton

Whose career was shortened becuase he went off the rails!
I'll fookin say.
A wifebeater and an alcoholic.
So this makes him better than Rooney then does it.
Rooney is in the best place for him to be as he becomes what Gazza never will be- a true legend.
Fergie and the staff at MU will not let him go down the same way as George Best and Gazza.
Fergie is not going to be there forever though is he?
To say that Rooney has more talent that Gazza is just plain ridiculous. Gazza is the nearest that this country will ever get to a Maradona and it's very rare that a talent like this comes along.
Can Rooney score great free kicks from anywhere?
Can Rooney dribble the ball around 4-5 players?
Can Rooney put a pass on a six pence the length of the field?
Has Rooney got the vision to play through balls from midfield and open up defences?
Sadly Gazza was never the same after his leg injury before moving to Lazio but he still went on to play some great football for a short time.
Rooney is a goalscorer, he relies on others to creates chances for him. Gazza was a provider and he could create his own chances.
Rooney may well go on to have a better career but in no way has he got more talent than Gazza.

That bit is true- but then again when he does leave we will
have another world class manager coming in to take over.
And it wont be martin o'neil I can tell you that much for sure.

Like Rooney then.. who at 18 is going to eclipse everything that gazza has ever done by say the age of about 25.
[i]Can Rooney score great free kicks from anywhere?[/B]
----------------------------------------------------------------
Check out his debut hattrick mate- not from anywhere- but still a cracking freekick.. and no gazza score 'great freekicks' as well.
[i]Can Rooney dribble the ball around 4-5 players? [/B]
-------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldnt say dribble around 4-5 players.. but neither was gazza like ryan giggs though was he.
[i]Can Rooney put a pass on a six pence the length of the field? [/B]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Didnt see gazza passing the length of the field - but time will tell if rooney can.

Yep

When rooney is 25- I would sincerely look back at his acomplishments up to that point and then check gazza's.
You will notice a few things. Rooney will have won a lot more trophies and honours than gazza.
I don't think it's worth debating with you anymore as your obviously very biased. I wonder if you'd still be saying the same about Rooney if he was still at Everton? I happen to think not.
You have obviously not followed Gazza through his career from his days at Newcastle and Tottenham. Did you not see Gazza in his Tottenham days going on wonder runs around multiple players scoring some magnificent goals particularly in the year Tottenham got to the FA cup final?
Do you honestly think that Rooney can do the same kind of things with a football that Gazza could? You are clearly deluding yourself.
Whether Rooney achieves more is not the issue, he is at a very money orientated club with some of the worlds most expensive players, he's going to win things. We are talking about natural talent here. And Rooney falls short when up agianst Gazza.
There is a common saying that what Pele could do with a football Maradona could do with an orange. You could apply that logic to to Rooney and Gazza, that is the difference in Gazza's skills compared to Rooney's.
You need to learn that winning trophies does not make you a better player, it means you played in a more successful team. Apart from Maradona of course who was a near to a one man team as you can possibly get.
So now you are saying that Maradonna is better than Pele or Puskas for that matter?
at the moment rooneys not in the same lg as gazza ever was, bearing in mind that a lot of man utd fans said the same before he went to old trafford. the lad is a very good footballer with tons of potential but lets not get carried away.

Yes, I am saying that Maradona is the best player the world has ever seen including Pele.
dont think you can really say maradona was better player than pele, well you can but check the record books, pele has scored more goals than any other footballer, more world cups apps, was the force behind the greatest world cup side ,ever. the same can be said about maradona as regards pulling the argies up by the shirt collar but in my opinion and also if i may add by maradona and george best pele is way out in front. by the way maradona was a cheating little b------- , altho a great footballer.
Feel free to check any records you liked and while your doing it check the opposition that a lot of Pele's goals were scored against. They played at totally different levels.
Also, while you doing that, check Maradona's goal scoring record from midfield at Barcelona at top level and his record at Boco and also taking Napoli to title success, I mean, who ever heard of Napoli winning Serie A? And not to mention almost winning the world cup for Argnetina, who were very much a average side.
detect a bit of aggression in your post, dont no why! anyway as for the opposition do you actually no what club side maradona played for?, the lg he played in was and is very physical but dosnt come close to brazilian football for speed and skill. check out some archive footage from the late 50s and early 60s, think youl be suprised how good the opposition was.
Of course I know what clubs he played for. I just listed 3 of them. Have you ever seen the marking in Pele's days? It was a complete joke and virtually non-existent. Pele only played in Brazil. Maradona played in numerous places and was regarded the best which ever country he played in. The game was much tougher in Maradona's era.
right then, just one thing why does it make maradona a better player skill wise because he played in differant countrys. in a world poll amongst ex pros pele pulled 80 percent of the vote, maradona only just beat cryuff for second spot. saying maradona is a better player because he played at more clubs ete is like saying john lennon would have been better if hed played in the moonkees and beach boys.
A lot of Pele's achievements were in the Brazilian league. Pele played during the years when you could virtually walk through midfield with the ball. Brazilian defences have never been much kop, but even more so back then. Maradona on the other hand played in the 'brutal' years of football when players would take your legs instead of the ball, and he felt the full force of that but he still made his true mark as been the best wherever he played like Spain, Italy, Argentina. Maradona has never been the most popular player and is disliked by many especially in this country for obvious reasons. Pele has always been a likable character and is adored by many.
I will concede one point though, Maradona did have the advantage of playing when his games were seen by many via TV. Unfortunately Pele never had that luxury so not as much of him as been seen but this doesn't alter the fact that I think Maradona is the best of all time.
Agent Gypo 06-02-2005, 14:23 Just going back to the Rooney and Gazza comparisons, I think Rooney will become a far better player than Gazza and will no doubt win far more silverware.
Pundits, players, managers, ex-players and even Maradonna think Rooney will be among the top players the world has ever seen.
Already he's a great player who could walk into any team in the world bar none.
Its questionable in what way you can compare the 2 as they played completely different positions. A fairer comparision would be between Shearer and Rooney IMO. I mean, will Rooney ever eclipse Shearer's goal scoring records?
The chances are Rooney will win more Silverware because he is at one of the biggest clubs. As everyone knows Gazza's career self-destructed for a number of reasons and his best days were limited. I still maintain that Gazza had more natural talent and more potential than Rooney but just never made the most of it.
Agent Gypo 06-02-2005, 14:41 Good point, but I don't think Shearer and Rooney are the same kind of striker either. Rooney is more of a forward than a striker, and I can well see him becoming a midfield/forward player like Paul Scholes rather than an out-and-out striker.
