Why would anyone listen to that station. It lost all credibility about 15 years ago.

I used to listen to Bigjohn but have converted to Toby Foster. The rest of the station grates me. Crap adverts and a repetitive playlist. When I used to listen they constantly played that Heh yah song or whateveritwas. Mind you they also played Shes Electric by Oasis a lot which I quite liked.

But what about Dull Bollard. Almost every day he plays an Elton John song aat approximately 5.15pm. And every time he plays a KT Tunstall song he says the same joke - he refers to her as KT Toadstool. So funny!

Dancing in the Moonlight you mean? Oh my God they were playing that clapped out old song 3 years ago when I accidentally had to suffer that awful station on and off for a week.....heard it twice a day every day and it was not even in the charts then..

Funny you should mention! I was an loyal Hallam FM listener for 10 years, but now I can't abide listening to it. It's the same old songs over and over again, too much Robbie, vomit-inducing DJ's who just love themselves, and too many adverts. I'd rather drive in silence. I bought a new car and it's not even tuned into Hallam FM any more.

they always bloody play that nickelback song that starts of "never made it as a wiseman" and thats about as far as it gets before i turn it off

and the new leona lewis song is always on....i cant stand the cam kelly dj, he thinks hes so funny but aint....much prefer galaxy

i dont like robbie, the new take that songs are a bit pants, and the toploader tune drives me mad, thank god i dont listen to hallamfm then! usually kerrang for me at bedtime punctuated by by boyf's complaints that its "too mainstream now". dont like commercial radio much, the adverts are way too frequent. one song-adverts-one more song-adverts- half a song - more adverts!!! i still have the "autolink" advert jingle in my head from invicta fm (kent radio station). i last heard it 6 years ago. still there!!

This is so bizzare, I was only talking today about radio Hallam and how they play the same old tracks over and over again.

For me it's always Never too Much Luther Vandross, seconded by Robbie. I usually listen to Radio one (Chris Moyles to work and Scott Mills home from work whilst crawling up and down the M1) but sometimes flick over to Hallam WHY? And I don't know their names but at night when I've worked till 10pm (God bless Meadowhall) there is this annoying phone in with the most irratating couple ever.

Today or rather yesterday (wednesday) it wasKerry Katonia they were on about..

Robbie Williams is so overrated it's untrue,i can't stand him or his music,which is utter drivel.I would love to destroy all his music and then stitch his lips together permanently,so he couldn't subject the general public to anymore of his dull dross.:rant:

I can't remember the last time I switched Hallam on and it wasn't in the middle of some nauseating jingle style advert.

And that Big John - I've only ever listened to him once (for about 5 mins in between adverts). He is everything that was bad about DJ's 20 years ago let alone today. With extra cheese!

The presenters are the most pathetic, they all have that southern, slurring, sound like they are constantly stuffing their faces sound to their voice, think they sound sexy. The female news reader is as bad, basically who listens!!!!!!!!!!

I say ditch the station and put a new one in its place, fresh local presenters, no ****e marketing ploys, decent news, upto date music mingled with oldet classic tunes and NO ****TY PONCY SOUTHER PRESENTERS!!!! THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME!!! :hihi:

Seriously, can someone please explain the levels of animosity here? You don't like it? Well, don't listen then - simple! It would be like me lambasting everything that Coronation Street has in it when all I need to is change the channel. I'm convinced some people listen to Hallam just to rant about it.

Couldnt agree more, soo overated, I'm glad Take That are having sucess without the big headed prat.

Everyone I know seems to listen to local radio, but I can't stand it! I hate it, full of rubbish presenters, advert breaks and generally crap music. I listen to Radio 2 these days (22 and already sick of Radio1!).
