Walkley has a lot of burglaries so make sure you lock your doors and windows.....

both areas have a lot of students, so there can't be any problems that you wouldn't expect in a student area.

I haven't noticed a 'lot' (actually i haven't noticed any) burglaries in walkley, but i live at the bottom of it, away from most of the students.

where is this stat from?
i do think a lot of students forget to lock doors and windows or they have that many people going thru the house, things go missing. our house used to be hectic at the weekend - made sure i locked my room

car vandalism used to be a problem (and car crime) but not heard of any for a while. They were on all the streets going off South Rd.

Perfectly safe for students.

broomhill is one of the nicest areas in sheffield.

and safest, I reckon

but I think burglary rate is high due to dense population of students

but you'll find that in any student area

broomhall has a poor rep. its also one of the few areas in sheffield a friend of mine has been mugged in, so i would tend to avoid. on the plus side its cheeper to get somewhere and less hilly.
