Hiya, I am an international student female. Want to find an economic self-contained flat but seems not many choice. I am thinking about Walkley. Would like to have some advice. Please let me know. Thanks cheers

Cyclone 31-01-2005, 16:19 both areas have a lot of students, so there can't be any problems that you wouldn't expect in a student area. I haven't noticed a 'lot' (actually i haven't noticed any) burglaries in walkley, but i live at the bottom of it, away from most of the students. They were on all the streets going off South Rd. Perfectly safe for students. Am I right? broomhall has a poor rep. its also one of the few areas in sheffield a friend of mine has been mugged in, so i would tend to avoid. on the plus side its cheeper to get somewhere and less hilly. |
