I will be moving to Sheffield in January and would be keen to join a camera club. I know there is the Sheffield Photographic Society but didn't know if this might be too formal or too advanced for me. I wondered if there were any more camera clubs in the city or if people could give me a helpful of overview of the Photographic Society.

there's on in killamarsh meets Thursday nights. but no good if you're movign into the city i'm afraid.

You've found the photo group here...which is turning into a bit of a photo club, critiquing each other and soon a group outing...

Will keep an eye out for the one in Killamarsh - we are looking to move somewhere south of the city centre.

It's a newish group within the forum... first (to my knowledge) meetups coming at start of December, hopefully they will set a precedent.
