Ta. steevie/d 20-11-2007, 14:52 not sheffield but close http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-ERA-125CC-SCOOTER-MOPED-MOTORCYCLE-BIKE-SPARK-125_W0QQitemZ270188531909QQihZ017QQcategoryZ9939QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosti ng honeyb35 20-11-2007, 15:14 pauls service station at shiregreen do them but havent a clue if they're cheap, decent ect nick2 20-11-2007, 15:32 I think there is a scooter shop near the United ground. slh73 20-11-2007, 15:50 Armandos scooters, near Bramhall lane-mainly old restored Lambrettas and Vespas. SMC Bikes, Saville Street-Yamaha dealer Jeff Hall motorcycles, Langsett Road-Piaggio, Vespa, Gilera dealer. Hillsborough Motorcycles, Staniforth Road-Aprillia dealer Manhattan Motorcycles-Heeley bottom-Peugeot dealer. Stick to a known brand, dont bother with the chinese bikes, theyre not much cop, and when they go wrond there arent many garages wholl work on them, and getting spare parts is a nightmare. Go for one of the big names (Piaggio/Vespa, Yamaha, Aprillia, Peugeot) and youll be fine. nick2 20-11-2007, 15:54 Armandos scooters, near Bramhall lane-mainly old restored Lambrettas and Vespas. Thats the one I meant, they have some very cool scooters. frostiekazza 20-11-2007, 15:56 As slh73 said Manhattan motocycles are worth a try .My two nephews got their scooters from there as did alot of their friends .The after sales service is really good too . Karen xx slh73 20-11-2007, 16:16 Thats the one I meant, they have some very cool scooters. They have some very cool price tags as well :) joshisace1 29-09-2008, 18:02 jeff hawls shud do them S6 D.I.Y 29-09-2008, 19:00 i just brought one jeff halls good place i al;so have one for sale pm me for details yorkiepudd 30-09-2008, 16:13 Shiregreen Service Station is good if you are shopping on a budget but you can get them much cheaper on ebay or through specialist importers (just make sure they are either pre-registered or come with the necessary paperwork for you to register it). Take no notice of the post about Chinese imports. They are mechanically reliable (most have the GY6 engine) and it would soon pay for itself - parts are easy to get as they are all pretty much the same and Jeff Halls have most of the parts (you just need to take your old bit with you and they can generally match it up). The majority of problems with imports are minor electrical niggles but nothing that good maintenance won't prevent. |
