View Full Version : Shane Wards 'Breafless'
Maybe it's fashionable to have a speech impediment if your a singer, but does it annoy anyone else that Ward can't pronounce his 'ths' among other things, it was alright for Gareth Gates, it didn't interfere with his singing, what do you think?
He was on the Paul O'Grady (used to be Lily Savage) show earlier singing it, the song sucks, he sucks. The only good X Factor song is the one by Leona Lewis.
:O I cant believe someone used "Good", and "Leona Lewis" in the same sentance
sezemeseeds 19-11-2007, 18:31 oh my god. cant believe im only one who thinks that. was watching video today on mtv and kept thinking he was saying breafless and thought i was hearing things.
The thing to remember about Shayne Ward and most other X Factor wannabe stars, is that their target audience is 14 year old kids, so they'll sign any old verbally retarded gimp who has the right "image" but can't sing for toffee, and still get to number 1 cos all the 14 year old lasses fancy him!
Dance Nation 20-11-2007, 12:39 Isn't he just some Manchester scum from a family of scallies? No wonder he never learnt to talk properly. Correct speech is not really their priority over there when there's a robbin' to be done:D
Plain Talker 20-11-2007, 16:09 Sorry, but I'm about as impressed with this one, as I am with leona lewis's one.. not very.
cant believe ur slagging shayne ward off.i know leona lewis is a brill singer but shayne wards gorgeous thats how he gets his audience.
Maybe he shouldn't sing about breathing next time. Someone should send him a private message on manchester forum, you never know, he might be a regular on these forums as we are.........
fabulous_girl 22-11-2007, 21:48 i cant believe its taken him this long to release something. its nearly 2 years. what is that b-side "no u hang up" sh*** as well?! i quite like leona's song as i have only heard it a couple of times. im sure if i listened to the radio more it would grate.
BasilRathbon 23-11-2007, 08:40 Talking of speech impediments has anyone heard Jonathan Ross's cover of Althea & Donna's "Uptown Top Ranking"?
Annoni_mouse 23-11-2007, 08:48 In all seriousness, I thought he had a lot of potential after winning X-Factor.
I wouldnt quite go as far as to say he's the 'British Timberlake', but he's a good looking bloke who can sing, but I think he's been badly let down by his song choices (Louis Walsh?).
All these soppy balads and crappy teen love songs will do nowt for his career.

Yeah but that's the kind of rubbish his target audience spend their 3 quid a week pocket money on so he's stuck with it!
