Advice would be appreciated. xafier 30-01-2005, 20:50 www.cyberfret.com :D teach yourself, its cheaper! but anyways, if you don't wanna teach yourself the like the god Jimi Hendrix there are quite a few people who do lessons in Sheffield... but I just want to point out a few things first before: Make absolutely sure you don't just pick one cus he/she is cheap or sounds like they know what they're on about, ask questions, find info out, search around, ask advice from guitar stores! http://www.cyberfret.com/misc-wisdom/tom-hess/choosing-a-teacher/index.php this is an AMAZING thing to read, and I HIGHLY reccomend you read it and absorb it before picking a teacher... Personally I'm entirely self taught, but I might start looking for a teacher soon now I have a job and money coming in... I've been playing about 3 years, but I know I could be so much more if I practised more and had some real lessons and someone to give me a push! anyways, guitar is all about, practise, practise, positive attitude, more practise, rubbing your sore fingers, more practise.... and finally, more practise :D viking 31-01-2005, 11:22 I take guitar lessons from Dave Hallam In dinnington. He has a guitar shop, does 1 to 1 lessons (£25 ph) or group lessons at £6 for around 45 mins. He will learn you things would never learn from a book or CD.
