Has anyone heard about the group on facebook that is attempting to make this year's christmas number one? The group was started about 10 months ago by 2 Sheffield students who joined forces with musicians across the country and they have now written and produced a xmas song which they will be available for download on 10 Dec with ALL proceeds going to charity. You can here the song on the groups myspace page, they are called Anarchyxmas.

I personally think this a great idea, and think Sheffield folk should unite this christmas and help spread the word about such a good, XMAS orientated good cause!

Once again, Sheffield will show itself to be at the heart of great music!

Judging by your name, are you talking about the christmas number one rented accomodation?
If I am wrong about that, I must apologise it must be the number one Christmas Turkey

Found out about the group through facebook and as it has grown have got to know a few people involved. Just thought it would be a nice change to get a xmas song to number one this year that will benefit more people than just rich music industry giants!

Essentially we want to stick 2 fingers up to Xfactor and all the other non-christmas,money grabbing songs that invade the charts at Christmas

So weve recorded a proper Christmas song. The song is released on the 10th of December on all digital outlets. All proceeds will go to..........

Cancer Research
NSPCC
Oxfam
Friends of The Earth
Shelter

Please lend us your support and spread the love as far and wide as you possibly can.

Just listened to it :gag: Think I will stick to the more traditional christmas songs if its all the same :hihi:

I think the idea is fantastic but the song sounds very depressing for a christmas one and doubt very much it would ever make it to number 1.

did anyone hear the radio interview last night?

No. I had much more important things to be doing... like marking 68 pieces of Year 9 work >_<
