Now its getting cold Im thinking of possibly making some knitted slippers - possibly felted. Has anyone made any and have any recommendations?

I made some fuzzy feet once (Knitty) which are huge socks that you then shrink to fit. I had one that finished up half an inch smaller than the other so they didn't exactly get much wear. As it's been a bit cold at floor level here this week I'm currently considering a variant on the Malabrigo loafers. They look to be basic bootee construction only bigger and I know how that works. I have yet to work out whether I can be bothered to knit them, whether I should buy a pair of slippers or whether I should accept that I'm just not a slipper person (I've never ever worn the slippers that Santa occasionally brings me)

I have seen some Rowan felted slippers recently. Better ask Knitbird!

There's a pair I like on Knitty called Twinkletoes (http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTtwinkletoes.html), they're in Calmer so would be very stretchy and comfortable and machine washable. I love that yarn, and although it's £6.50 a ball, the slippers are made from only one, so not that pricey.

The slippers Mara saw are in The Felted Collection (http://www.knitrowan.com/html/books_slide_show.asp?BookCode=ZB40&BookSlideID=60), but they're not my favourite pattern in the book, I really want to make the knitting wrap (http://www.laughinghens.com/knitting-pattern-page.asp?patternpageid=4578), for when I don't want to think at all about what I'm doing.

I have bought some patterns from the bad ebay word and they are by Knitwhits. I like knitted slippers because I can wash them! And I can have spare sets.

I make slippers but they are wet-felted, not knitted and fulled.

I'm thinking about making the twinkletoes ones from Knitty. Has anyone found they've needed to put those suede slipper bottom thingies on knitted slippers? I'd like to have everything ready before I start. Would a bag of suede scraps from e(vil)bay be alright?
