Am on Virgin cable. Just for emailing, internet, photos. No games or music. Present PC now slow, error notices every day and loads of wires. Advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Based on the "requirements" you've given above, then just about anything you can buy brand new will be adequate.

Like hussain says, stick to the known brands... Apple, Sony, Toshiba, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP...

Thanks so much. I use my PC purely for my voluntary work at home and need it to be more reliable than fun, if you know wot I mean! Always had good service from Comet so off I go. Need reliable printer as well. The Brother MFC I bought a couple of years ago is much too big now and is literally falling apart. Thank goodness things move on to smaller and better things!
