nope sid. I'll be drinking wine and rehearsing music with swear words in. No doubt you'll be spanking the wangle if emma bunton is appearing...:)

Not me. Off out with friends, having a glass or three of beer, laughing, chatting, meeting people, that sort of carry - on.

I wonder how many babies are born exactly 9 months after Children in need:suspect:

And how many of them end up in need:suspect:

Is the telethon itself designed to be so tedious that people go off and create more children for it to help therefore keeping Pudsey in a job year after year?

Wonderful, deserving cause........lousy TV:D

All the "celebs" on it look really unhappy, like they don't want to be there but don't want to be seen to be heartless.

What a wonderful idea, but sad that you use 'justgiving.com' who take a 5% commission.

If anyone wants to give, why not give direct to the charity concerned?

If you pay by JUST GIVING a percentage of the donation would probably qualify for GIFT AID that would also go to Children in Need! This helps to compensate for their commission charge.

If anyone visits my website and would like to donate to Children in Need without going through Just Giving, just send a cheque payable to BBC Children in Need to my address and I will forward all monies onto Children in Need.

Thanks
Alan

I imagine Wogan probably gives a substantial amount of money to Children in Need himself, and he does a hell of a lot to support the charity through his personal time, and through his work at Radio 2 who are constantly supporting CIN throughout the year. As the BBC News article makes clear, the fee doesn't come from the Charity but from the BBC, therefore CIN are no worse off by paying Sir Terry.
