Since it seems that the Sheffield Skiing Village has finally closed, does anyone know of any alternative skiing place in Sheffield or surrounding areas (within 30 minutes drive atmost)?
Thanks

Thanks iamthemoon 16-11-2007, 21:30 X scape in castleford is good. just off ther motorway. google it expensive but if you go and get the early bird deal you get two hours for the price of one i think. something like that anyway. bit further than 30mins but not much and its real snow. to be honest its a pretty easy straight run. you could get bored easily if you go more than once a year. in fact come to think of it, its a rip off and a little bit rubbish. just spoken myself out of it, dont bother.!!!! sapz 17-11-2007, 15:37 m new to sheffield... m doing my MA in broadcast journalism at the university of sheffield.. out of curisosity..why did sheffield ski village close down anyway and why?
