Since it seems that the Sheffield Skiing Village has finally closed, does anyone know of any alternative skiing place in Sheffield or surrounding areas (within 30 minutes drive atmost)?

expensive but if you go and get the early bird deal you get two hours for the price of one i think. something like that anyway.

bit further than 30mins but not much and its real snow.

to be honest its a pretty easy straight run. you could get bored easily if you go more than once a year.

in fact come to think of it, its a rip off and a little bit rubbish.

The biggest indoor ski run in the UK has just opened in Manchester near the Trafford Centre. Its called Chill factor e. Thats where i'm gonna be heading :).

Sheffield Ski village is not closed. I know this because I was there on Saturday 24/11 and my other half was there tonight.

Only last week they hosted the Frosbite Series Ski Race!!

we go every week snowbboarding

sheffield needs an indoor real snow place, it makes sense with all the hills.

i thought there were plans to do this at the ski village site, has that completely fallen through?
