View Full Version : Amy Winehouse... I'm bored of her.
Mediocre talent, old sound, pointless abuse, fabulous management.
Sorry, but I'm a bit bored of the whole thing now. I want real music with real talent, not this shambles of a throw back.

I was bored of Amy Winehouse before I'd even heard of her...
StarSparkle :)
Blimey... that doesn't happen very often! We're agreeing!!! :D
I heard the new 'single' a little earlier and that's it. No more. I simply can't be bothered with her self indulgent childish pointless abusive .... gaahhhh!!
If she really knew how to have a good time we wouldn't be having this discussion.
I must admit that she went through a phase when I thought I might be able to like her, but it only lasted a couple of months before I saw her on something out of her tree and being nasty and I changed my mind.
Its amazing really, she came from no where, was pretty cool, had a hit ,became mainstream, never of the tele and newspaper headlines and now shes crap.
I think she has a great voice, does mediocre songs, looks like a drag queen, and will, unfortunately, probably be dead withing the next five years.
pattricia 15-11-2007, 22:00 Cant stand the hairdo. Is it a joke or what ?

I think it's to hide her stash in! Probably why its getting bigger.
Great Jazzy version of Valerie though:cool:
Alastair 15-11-2007, 22:56 She certainly looks a lot better than she used to -

That was more to do with the talent of Mark Ronson though. She only did the vocal.
Waste of space in my opinion. Just like that Doherty fella.

Just read on teletext that her concert last night was in their words "Shambolic!" Apparantly the crowd were booing and hurling insults at her. She also said to those that were booing etc "Wait til my husband gets out of prison, you'll be in trouble then!" WTF!!! :loopy:
pinnacle 16-11-2007, 08:29 Maybe her and Pete Doherty can crash a car together.

Yeah, just like Lilly Allen and Joss Stone. Overhype has killed them.
ReginaldD 16-11-2007, 09:26 Yep but the papers will keep her in the news even though people aren't too bothered about her. I can't name one of her songs other than Valerie
Did she make her surname up herself ?

Ahhh, no!!
She KILLED that song - it wasn't even hers!!
The writers of the song - The Zutons - made a sublime, beautiful version of "Valerie" which is one of my favourite songs. Then Ms Winehouse and Mark whatever his name is, RUINED it between them.
It's a very sore point - along the pile of dog muck Mark made of one of the Smiths' classics.

alchresearch 16-11-2007, 13:03 Ronson is nothing more than a celebrity DJ, who's made it simply because of mummy and daddy's connections (from what I read in a Guardian interview anyway).
He's butchered every song that's had the misfortune to come into contact with him.

Exactly so. Well said, Alchresearch. It's so refreshing to hear the truth.

I thought it was quite nice, actually. Might get a ticket to one of her shows and personally encourage her through my booing to say or do something more extreme ;) :D
Can just see it now.... I'm a Screwed Up Singer, Get Me Out of Here!! Would be a great alternative to Ant and Dec :D

See if you can download "***** Me Pumps" - it's brill.
Chris_Sleeps 17-11-2007, 11:28 I heard the album (Back To Black) the other day after avoiding it for the past year or so, and i'll have to be honest and say it isn't that bad. I don't like the way the drums dominate the whole sound but some of the music is quite clever. Copying certain things that have come before (Motown) but it's still better than James Blunt repeating the same handful of chords again and again. The way 'You Know I'm No Good' changes when the guitar part starts is wonderful.
Ignoring her celebrity, i like her.
