I was told you can get a day trip to Sicily from Malta and would like to know if anyone has been on it.
I know about the one to Gozo but are there any more.
The Malta web site does not mention it.

I went on the ferry to Scicily last year and it was terrible.
Had to leave Malta at 5.15 in the morning to get to the port, then on the ferry the ride was so bad that 3/4 of the people on board spent the entire time throwing up. Apparantly it wasn't even a rough crossing the stewards said it was about as calm as it got.
After arriving in Scicily we were so worried about the journey back we refused to eat all day to try to stop the same thing happening again.
Our trip also included Mt Etna which was a total waste of time, we spent about 4 hours travelling on a coach to get there and then only spent an hour there and there wasn't even anything to see because of the clouds as we were so high. There was just 2 cafes selling overpriced rubbish food (which we didn't want anyway) and a couple of stalls selling lava!
Add to all this we then had to endure the coach and ferry rides again coming back and didn't finally get back to our hotel to 2 o clock in the morning.
Definately not worth a 20+ hour trip.
