hiya, does anyone know where we can get empty boxes from.my oldest nephew is moving house and he can't get hold of any boxes to pack his things into. All the shops say they have to get rid of them now as soon as they empty them.he has phoned a few removal firms but they say they only sell them to people who are using their service. Any ideas please?
try a supermarket usually if you ask they give you the big boxes they use.

Hi Whisper
We are moving house this week - so are surrounded by (full) cardboard boxes. However, come next Saturday the majority of them should empty.
We'd be more than happy if you want to take them off our hands. PM me if interested.
Cheers, Carrie
If you try the supermarket, you need to know when the deliveries arrive, as shelf stackers tend to flatten them as they empty them (as they're required to do)

Stationery shops like staples sell packs of 50 packing boxes with the lids for around £16+ you have to make the boxes up yourself but its a piece of p*ss.
They are really strong boxes and have gaps on the sides which are like the handles so its easy for moving them around with all your stuff in them.
If you are being moved by a professional moving company they should include the packing boxes for free.
Hope this info helps you.

You can buy them at Argos (if you can risk the shame of being seen in there :) ) and they also sell them at Apollo Self Storage on West Bar roundabout.
Hope this helps. Welcome to the Sheffield Forum!
Just past the market, down where the law courts are, on the left hand side (if you are going toward hillsborough) there is a shope that sells the boxes, always look when go by on bus, they seem quite good really, tonnes of different sizes etc.
