Lincoln Xmas Fair is considered one of the best if you want to travel. Also there is usually one in Barnsley in early December.

Does anyone know the dates of the Barnsley one as I might go and have some venison?

I went to the Kelham Island "Victorian Christmas" Market / Fair last year. It was a great let down. I was expecting local farmers market etc as is the case in York. It was more like a over priced jumble sale.

York, YO10 4PB

I know it's a long way to go but if you have children it is worth the visit.

They have lots of craft stalls, cafe, things for the children to make. It's quite a lagre affair and I always end up spending too much money!

Isn't it fascinating that Sheffielders describe Leeds as Dirty Leeds, but after leaving the bus station, you get greeted by the Roxy and the foul escalators there, and not far from the bus station is Castle Square and the disgusting Castle Markets.
