Just on my way back from crystal peaks on the tram when we were asked to disembark at Gleadless Townend 'due to an incident further up ahead'.
The tram driver said he was turning back to halfway and that those wanting to go into town would have to 'make other arrangements'.
Anyone any idea what was up?

that sounds very very odd, i havent heard anything, can anyone shed any light?

I have just spoken to a relative who lives near Gleadless church and they haven't seen or heard anything...come on all you budding reporters get out there and report back ASAP we are holding the front page for you.:mad:

I walked down Ridgeway Road to Hollinsend Road (where I live) and apart from seeing loads of passengers waiting at the Hollinsend tram stop there was no sign of an accident so it must be between Manor Top and town?

Yes there was a road accident between 2 cars at about 1.30pm today...the traffic n trams were all stuck!! It was between hollindsend and crystal peaks! I think it was pretty bad as there were lots of police n paramedics.
