View Full Version : Who did you really fancy at school and never ever told anyone?
Don_Kiddick 29-01-2005, 11:25 It's time to fess up - Anonymously if need be!
Tell us; what was your school & who you really held a torch for?

Why were you so helpless in their presence...?
Imagine if they read this now & saw their name - how flattered they might be? :surprised
Imagine seeing your name put up :o
Go on, make someone's day
I was desperately in love with a boy called Jamie when I was 11... he was on my bus everyday, but didn't go to my school. Unfortunately, my big brother read my diary - and told Jamie, and unfortunately he thought he was too old and mature for me (he was 13!).
Never mind eh...
DaBouncer 29-01-2005, 11:37 I used to fancy this girl in secondary school called Heidi (although I reckon she knew).
Seen her once or twice since leaving school and she's still very atractive - but alas it was never to be eh :P
maltby comp, i was a 1st year n there was this lad i think he was a 5th year called jason, he wore a fishtail parker n was totally mmmmm mmmm ( well i thort so at the time LOL ) me n my mates used to follow him about :suspect: so even tho i never told him im sure he musta guessed , :D why else would a gang of little giggly girlys be ever where he was :hihi:
Don_Kiddick 29-01-2005, 12:42 Tracey Morris
Ahhh the inability to speak, breathe, swallow, think ...
In the presence of another. Wistful memories ..
I was madly in love with a boy called Simon when I first started secondary school  He was achingly cool and played the guitar... I turned into a quivering wreck near him :)
purplepippa 29-01-2005, 13:27 My music teacher!!
First big girlie crush :hihi:
I used to fancy this guy called Stephen Green, my mates convinced me he liked me as well, so someone gave me his phone number, i got the courage to ask him out, and when I called and asked him he didnt even know who i was, I was so gutted, and terrified to go back to school and be a laughing stock, I went back after summer hols and noone knew anything about it and he even apologised to me for being mean on the phone, and said he didnt realise it was me.... but he still didnt want to go out with me.... ah well
But I never told any of my friends what happened, i just told them i chickened out of asking him!
Susie
xx
Yours truly had the hots for 2 girls :heyhey:
Once called Kirsty, year below me.. We had a brief state of affairs but it was never to be  Saw her for a while after I left (she was year below me). Understand she now has 2 kids and very happily engaged :shakes:
Second was Cheryl, again year below me. As above, was never destined to last long.. Same class as the above lady I think :hihi: She's now engaged to a old time friend David..
Hoping both of them all the best for the future
Now don't get me started on work colleagues ;)

So you're the losing party in all this huh ;) she picked your mate instead. Are you sure you wish them all the best for the future or are you secretly bitter and twisted about the whole thing :hihi:

Thank god for that :P
threecolours 29-01-2005, 14:59 At high school, it was a lad called Daniel. He was lovely (and probably still is...don't know where he is now..). He must have fancied me so much that he pushed me into a swimming pool during a french exchange...when I couldn't swim (he didnt know that last bit..til it was 'nearly' too late!)
Nice idea for a thread this...but wouldn't it be even better if people wrote who they have a 'crush' on now....? Not that I'm start this one off.
I had a big crush on a girl called Natalie. I believe she may have a younger brother whom is quite well known these days.
I had a HUGE crush on a girl called Rebecca.. and even managed to keep it to myself for a while, but someone found out (don't remember how exactly) and before you could say "you've got no chance Craig" the whole school knew it seemed and... well school became a much harder place to be  :shakes:
I had a killer crush on a girl called Karen Booth at (secondary) school ... she had a very pretty face and sparkling eyes and lovely hair (like on the shampoo ads). She wasn't miss world in the body department though (not too bad either).
I was a right prat at school though and nobody liked me.
Isn't it funny though, how unnatural you act when you have a crush. Kinda stops you from being your normal happy natural self (does that make sense - or is it just me!?).
I have a crush on a girl now ... and I hate it (so bloomin' inconvenient).

RunningFree 27-04-2006, 06:59 I remember all my school life I always fancied this one particular girl, she wasn't anything special but here was just something about her. Last couple of years she changed started hangin about with 'the bad boys', now she has got a couple of kids I have heard. Glad nothing ever happened anyway now.
I have a gorgous girlfriend who I have been with for 6 years now, got our own house, nice car.
Susan Bell at Ashleigh ........ wonder what happened to em all from school.
In Junior school it was David Graham....he knew and we were b/f and g/f for a little while.....
Secondary school it was Simon Brough :wow:, I'd had the hots for him since the end of Junior School, we were always just really good mates though.
RunningFree 27-04-2006, 07:49 TRY www.friendsreunited.com!
fox20thc 27-04-2006, 07:51 My teacher
He was only about 8 years older than me. The first of the cool school teachers who didn't talk to us like kids.
For specific reasons I won't name him but he is now a headmaster.
RunningFree 27-04-2006, 08:00 I once got in with my primary school teacher down town when I was 16. It was in Millionaires, which is now Flares. Obviously she didn't recognise me, she was very wild if you know what I mean! :D
She wasn't great looking or anything, I just thought it was a laugh!
koenigsinger 27-04-2006, 08:24 I was utterly besotted by my english teacher, and the only reason I wont name her here is because, even though she is now in her fifties, heck, she may even have turned sixty, I would drop everything and run to her if she said the word.....
some people have a lifelong effect....

Ah, Sarah Broadbent! Mmmm... Georgia Williams! :P
Benjimimo 27-04-2006, 09:11 Abbie Cobb by far the fittset girl for me. I am now 22 and she is STILL the one person i hope to bump into from meadowhead school. I cant stop thinking about the year 10 spanish water sports holiday now.
~**..................Happy days................**~
I used to like this lass at Gleadless Valley called Helen Swann... Unfortunately she liked somebody else, and her Brother was a complete annoying tit.
*Twinkle* 27-04-2006, 10:12 Aaaarrrrgh.... there's a few people who went to my school on here, so I'm really going to show myself up by confessing all...
I went to both primary and secondary school with this lad and totally had the hots for him... His name is Matthew Coe... (Kirsty87, don't you dare say anything!!!! ~ You'll know who I mean... lol) Intelligent, Sporty, Nice body lovely dark hair and eyes... extremely down to earth and funny.... aaah
I think I saw him when I was out in town last week... I had double vision though so I sincerely hope it wasnt him... lol! Whoever it was gave me the biggest grin anyways! :D
Then I went to Silverdale for my A levels... I had a bit of a soft spot for my friend Neil Thomas... He's a really quiet guy, from a very well to do family... He's everything my Mother would love me to have in a man... He's at Sheff uni studying law, lives in a nice area, drives a nice car, very well spoken and impeccable manners... We went out to catch up on gossip and had a lovely time just a couple of weeks ago... But he insisted on discussing "law stuff" and citing cases to me, which really wound me up! lol! I think thats a non-starter to be honest... but he doesnt know... so shhh! :P
koenigsinger 27-04-2006, 10:27 Sixty and you'd still go running.......
she was everything I have ever wished for in a woman, beautiful, intelligent, funny, and a bit 'alternative'.
some things transcend age I guess....
Tartempion 27-04-2006, 10:31 Chris Tandy...and I wasn't alone...
ValleyBoy 27-04-2006, 10:49 I was a male slut and fancied every girl i saw,as my testerosarone levels ran wild, however the Head girl Katie Longden was always my favorite fantasy.Whether this may have transposed its self into later life ,as i do not find powerful or intelligent women as attractive as there less powerful counterparts.
_Kirsty_ 27-04-2006, 11:40 Aaaarrrrgh.... there's a few people who went to my school on here, so I'm really going to show myself up by confessing all...

Sounds like she's quite a woman to have inspired such devotion.

StarSparkle 27-04-2006, 12:35 Well, as I went to school in Edinburgh, there's not really much point me posting on this thread, but I will anyway :D
Throughout secondary school I had a massive crush on one of the slightly 'bad lads' of my year, a boy called Stuart. He still ranks as the most beautiful boy/man I have ever seen (including tv or film). He had the face of an angel and the most beautiful blond hair, and the most fantastic a*** you ever saw! :o ;) He was so gorgeous I could never understand why he wasn't in a band - he'd have been a teenage idol overnight
Unfortunately, though, he was (a) as thick as a brick and (b) incredibly shy, believe it or not! I was completely struck dumb every time I saw him, so we never actually spoke! There were occasional rumours that he fancied me (:o ) - one of my best friends (who'd known him since nursery school) swore blind to me he said to her he liked me, but nothing ever came of it. Who knows?
But in any case I ended up going out with his doppelganger at university :hihi: My sister still doesn't believe me to this day that Stuart's doppelganger (ok, he wasn't quite as spectacular as Stuart, but he was a dead ringer for him) approached me, not the other way around! I can still hardly believe it myself! Fate is a funny thing.....

lizzmobile 27-04-2006, 14:35 At little school, Robin Taylor-Firth (who went on to be keyboard player of Olive). He was gorgeous. Swoonsome.
Big school, Nigel Wood. All that lovely hair. And a very wry sense of humour
There is someone one SF with the same name as above, doubt if it's him though... (gawd, hope not!).
katy1981 27-04-2006, 14:39 micheal turner
and a few others:D
lizzmobile 27-04-2006, 14:46 For some reason I can't reach my last post to edit without the site logging me out, but just checked and there isn't a Nigel Wood username on here.
Saved!
EdnaKrabappe 27-04-2006, 17:24 I was never backward in coming forward at secondary school so most of the people I fancied knew all about it and I usually got my man. Funny how people change...(I'm so shy now!)
I held a torch for a guy called Jason Shepherd all through secondary school. Funny thing is, he had an identical twin and his twin asked me out and I wasn't interested! (Sorry Justin if you are reading - you were clearly the better looking of the two!)
We eventually went out for two weeks (equivalent of 6 years if you are aged 15) and I found him very boring (sorry Jase) and faced with the choice of going to see Ghostbusters with my mates or meeting him, I stood him up. All those Valentines cards for nothing!
I also had a crush on a lad called Mark Radforth and got into The Jam and being a Mod just because he liked them. Twenty four years later my passion for Paul Weller remains...

fierysatsuma 27-04-2006, 18:00 I was madly truely deeply in love with a girl in my school, notre dame, for years I was in love with her and she never knew; -

I went to both schools as well, there must have been something in the water (even though i never drank out of it as food was already dropped in for a laugh) but i used to make names up for them as well so they didn't know.
There were a few but like u ladyinred i wont embarrass myself as i know i won't live it down if a certain forumer reads this **cough**Stevewilson** who by the way, i thought were cute, don't mind tellin u tho :D
LadyInRed 27-04-2006, 20:34 hehe i used to like a few lads in year above kristan ball was yummy

SpeedwayDan 27-04-2006, 20:34 a girl called janine, she touched me once (only to move me out of the way:( ), it sent shivers down my spine
Annoni_mouse 27-04-2006, 20:51 There was this girl called Marina.....she was the sole reason I went to school towards the end of my school days(that is,when I did go:rolleyes: )
She had the darkest hair, like tiny ringlets of charcoal, and skin as soft as peach and the colour of pearl...and beautiful brown eyes,so deep and mysterious a teenage lad could drown in 'em...
Waltheof 27-04-2006, 21:41 Many years ago, in primary school in Australia, there was a girl called Patricia Adams who was always so well turned out, in pigtails with a bow on each, and she was pretty and shy--I had a crush on her but she never knew. Later, I used to sit in class next to a girl called Glenys Reynolds, we were really best mates and used to try to make each other laugh and would write things in each other's exercise books--I did fancy her but never said it outright to her. I expect both would now, like me, be drawing their pensions and will never know how I felt.
I had a HUGE crush on a girl called Rebecca.. and even managed to keep it to myself for a while, but someone found out (don't remember how exactly) and before you could say "you've got no chance Craig" the whole school knew it seemed and... well school became a much harder place to be  :shakes:

hahaha! me too!
i wont mention her name because she is the kind of lass would read local forums, but i will tell you it was Tapton School.
there was one lass, who was very nice, Catherine R (i will leave it there!!), but now i have moved onto a colleague!
Funnily enough I saw one of the girls I used to fancy in secondary school a couple of days ago near Meadowhall. :hihi: I was with my other half and she was with hers (I assumed). It was a very quick and clipped on-the-move chat as we passed...
Me: Hiya.
Her: Hiya, you alright?
Me: Yeh fine thanks, you?
Her: Yeh thanks!
...and that was it. :hihi:
HeffyPye 24-12-2006, 15:12 I liked a lad called Richard who was in my class all the way through Primary School but not in my class in secondary school. I nearly melted when he carried my canoe up the beach! (After my poor attempt at dragging it) Was never mentioned as I was the school dweeb!
Lorraine Askham, Lorraine Transfield, and Lynn Batty. All in S14.
Sorry girls, but you missed your chance. ;)
Plain Talker 24-12-2006, 15:43 ahh, I had a huge crush on a boy in my class, back in the first three years of senior school... I won't name him, but I will say that he was left-handed, and is now a doctor. *le sigh*... lol lol lol
then in the fourth form, there was a terribly handsome young chap from iran, all the girlies were going lolly-eyed over this chap...
he was the "bee's Knees"... his name was Reza Bahrusa, and after a year or so he left, vanished, even andto tis sday, I don't know whether he want back to Iran, or went to live elsewhere in sheffield, but we never saw him again (*sob*) lol
In his 43rd, or 44th year, he's probably fat, bald and toothless, by now (she chortles) but ooh, the swooning that went on in class 4S, back in 1978/9 lol lol lol
funny sod you no who sunshine
I can't believe it took over 8 months for you to think up that reply:D:P
