Debenhams, Boots, H of F.....places with make up counters! Though I have been really impressed with the ladies on the Benefit counter at John Lewis in the city centre!

Never quite understood why any woman would go to places like Debenhams and even more so John Lewis unless they want to look like a tangoed clown. ;)

What ever you do dont go to the mac counter, all they're interested in is applying as much makeup on their on faces as they possible can and dont really take any notice of people, you have to literally drag them away from the mirror in order to get some service!!!!

I would go for body shop. They do the make-up really natural in there where as some of the women in the department stores look a bit....

A lot of these places dont take your skin colouring and tone in to account.
As this is vital for perfect match foundation etc.
I spent years in the wrong foundation tone making me look ill, until i found the right one from colour me beautiful.
Ive had make up demos done on me at various places but again Colour me beautiful were spot on.
I had a colour assessment done for free by them because i was on one of their courses at the time, because i was thrilled with how the right colours in makeup and clothes make people look brilliant, i paid for my mum to have an assessment done at another one called
House of colour. And now she looks brilliant everytime with the right make up and clothes colours for her skin tone and colouring.
These are quite expensive but set you up for life, no more spending a fortune on trying to find the best colours to suit and colour mistakes.
Also they gave a make up lesson which was second to none.
If there's anything in particular you wish to know about make up and how to apply it please ask me and i will try to answer.

Mac in Debenhams are very good. Costs £25 but then you get £25 to spend on their stuff. I had it done for my wedding and they were fantastic.

You might get the first one free tho, I could have been charged because it was a wedding thing.
