Today and tomorrow 29th, 30th Jan, is national Birdwatching weekend. It is a yearly event and all you basically do is watch your garden for an hour and record what birds you see.

I'm hoping to see a Blackbird, some nice Tits, my friendly cockRobin or a Sparrow.
May look for a Lark in the woods.
I know.... a cheep, poultry excuse at humour
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
It`s ok Don,
I wont get in a flap about it, I only posted it on a wing and a prayer, :hihi:

Seriously though, Vike. I will be doing this - I have a big garden & have loads of dangly-birdy-feeder thingies in the trees at the top. Thanks for the link mate.
I have noticed that sometime around 2pm our garden is invaded by starlings - dozens of the buggers - every day.
My wife refers to them as 'The Luftwaffe', and when you watch how they muscle in around the birdtable & peck at each other & other birds - it's quite a good analogy :) .
Are you a 'twitcher' yourself?

I would suggest that the perfect place for a birdwatch weekend would be Meadowhall on a Sunday afternoon.
