ive done this before and last time the peeps of the sheffield forum came up trumps, tomorrow afternoon i'm doing my jimmy saville bit and supplying the tunes for a 40th birthday party, what i usually do is go through my cd collection and work out a play list the day before which takes ages but the last time i did one i asked the 40 somethings of the forum for their fave tunes and took my list from there...took me about half an hour rather than half a day,so can i ask you to help me out again.
its goona be a mixed crowd from ageing hippies (come along owdlad if ya like) to the old roxy's dancing round the hang bag brigade
cheers
When I used to do a show on Community Radio I looked forward to putting the playlist together with a mixture of fear and pleasure....:)
If you want to get folks on the dance floor, throw 'Dancing Queen' by Abba at them. It's something genetic.
What about 'Teenage Kicks' by the Undertones? Rolling Stones 'Brown Sugar'?
And this might be of intrerest....

Just avoid the 20 minute concept tracks for the hippies....;)
