I was actually being sarcastic as to what is a postman these days, never see them, post gets delivered at some point during the week if you're lucky etc... :?

never mind!

(And before anyone jumps on me, I don't think it's that bad really :P )

He was covering for someone who was off sick after doing his own round and had to do 12-14 bags and you just happen to be the last bag! I've done it before and I finished at 6pm!

If it's that mush of an issue then go to your sorting office find out the route you are on and try to swap houses with the very first house on that route!

Good luck with that:hihi:!

Not bad just Completely inaccrurate! Cause Despite being busier then it has ever been, You don't actually Get mail everyday! Someone needs to have actually sent you something for you to receive something!

Employment Tribunal said they sent hubby a letter out on 14th may ...WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THIS LETTER , which means hubby has now missed a deadline date for exchanging important documents for 30th May........it seems very strange that this letter never arrived when you consider the respondent is Royal Mail.....

(cue Twilight Zone music) .....coincidence or conspiracy?.....I leave it for you to decide

another friend of ours posted a letter at the Mail Centre box last weekend to arrive monday morning, he has just phoned company up and they have never received the letter!

also another friend of ours , he lives in S4 and he finally got a letter posted from another sheffield postcode and it arrived three weeks later, so he phoned up royal mail for a complaint form and thats never arrived!!

has anyone else had mail missing/late in the last 3-4 weeks? but then again I'm reliably informed that if mail is not bagged for 10pm , it gets left on the side.....

We have had many items go missing in the last few months.

Luckily nothing of great value has ever got lost though.

A few weeks back they "lost" £50 worth of WWE tickets for a show at the Arena in November, well according to the Arena they did anyway :suspect:

Last time I order tickets online, next time I'll go and queue for them in person!

With regard the late arrival it will be because the regular post(man ) will be off either on leave or the duty is vacant, therefore the walk (The correct name for a postman's round) will be done by another postman after they have done there usual walk.

I was talking to a postman at north pdo (S6) the other day who was doing 2 and a half walks that day , som thats why your mail is late

Well maybe you should do that bout time society stopped expecting other people to do things for them just cause it's not mega "Convinient" for you, then complain at them!

The Post Office once appealed against an employment tribunal by saying the applicant had left his claim too late and it wasn't reasonable to assume that first class post would deliver his claim on time. They won their appeal.

...but he hasn't left his claim too late, this was a letter with the date for everyone to exchange documents and merge two claims together. (its now 18th june and it still hasn't arrived!)

it should be reasonable to expect Royal Mail to provide the service they are supposed to do. Perhaps if they stop leaving 1st class mail on the side at 10pm then it might get delivered,
......wilful delay of mail according to Royal Mail's own code of conduct!

Our's at work gets delivered anytime between 1pm and 5pm; which is crap as the admin team have to then sort the post in, as well as out (which has to be at the postbox for 4pm :loopy:)
