I have just walked along Birley Lane S12 & seen the most ridiculous speed retardents in my life. There are 2 red lumps in the road which are narrower than the tracks of most cars so the cars can go over them without the slightest problem.Crazy.

Thats the council for you, they really know how to waste peoples council tax money. I went through Killamarsh the other day and there have been some taken up off the main road that goes through there from halfway

Seemingly, the local council are expecting a plague of reliant robins this winter. :suspect:

I picked a traffic cop up a several weeks ago and he said when they are chasing stolen cars the thieves always head for roads with major speed humps because they will risk writhing the stolen car off in an attempt to get away from the chasing cop car that will have to slow down somewhat to avoid damage.
These things don't actually do a thing im my opinion, here we are in 2007 with speed cameras and humps all over yet the death rate on roads still rises every year!
The death rate has been falling consistently for about 10 years hasn't it. (Although little to do with cameras or humps).
