Good gardeners do things before they need to, then the job is smaller and easier.

Well of course, I didnt. I Have two mini greenhouses that needed dismantling, one was empty the other had plants in. The empty one was tied to the shed in several places, but not the full one :( The empty one didnt blow over, but worse, decided to disassemble itself. The full one was intact but blew over. I cant decide which was worse! Of course I should have taken these down before the winds set in or even at the start of autumn. But I'd been lucky with them in my other house and decided to chance it.

What Ive done now is overwintered the plants on the bench in the garage, which has a large south facing window. Im concerned about mould and fungus though as the garage seems a but fusty at times. The plants are fuchsias, a few perennial cuttings and perennials/biennials grown from seed such as lupins and echinacea. Im wondering whether to defoliate the fuchsias and spray them or just let nature take its course.

On the other hand I might just buy a decent cold frame.

Anyone else had any wind damage?

Just had a broken Buddleia, it was going to get chopped down in the spring anyway so I guess I was lucky!
