Just finished work and went to collect my car and realised someone had broken into my car. No windows broken but seems like theyv used a crow bar and yanked the door ever so much that they could unlock the door from the inside.

Nothing missing as i didnt leave anything in the car. But from the looks of it, they had a nice look in the glove box and ash stray and didnt find anything.

So good news that theyv didnt tief off with anything but bad news that i got to fix the door now.
The damage to the door is not that bad as it closes properly however there are 2 things wrong with it.
1. Where the crow bars been, its kinda lifted the body up with it on the door which results in a larger gap between the seal and door when closed.
2. Just above the side mirror on the door, the body of the door has come out abit (about 2 inchs long and and inch wide). To me it seems this can be hammered into place!!!

So i was wondering if anyone could recommend a garage/bodyshop in S4 which could mend this problem and respray it if possible!!!

I can't recommend one in S4 but I can in S8, my OH's car got EXACTLY the same treatment a few weeks ago.
Anyway, Derbyshire Lane Service Station, on Derbyshire Lane, they did a cracking job, folded it all back into place and made a tidy job of it, plus with a replacement window from a scrap yard and all for £35. Absolute stars!!

This used to happen to mine loads, you can fix it yourself just bend it back

(I'm a pathetic female who knows little to nothing about cars, so if I can do it then you can!!!)

Will insurance be paying or are you looking for 'value for money'?
