Whitley Hall is all booked up and we want somewhere posh to eat but I am totally stumped. Since we moved to North Sheffield there is nowhere at all that is decent to go. Any suggestions? Only somewhere with charm an character will do!

I've heard good things about Greenhead house. Aternatively, Tankersley Manor or Staindrop Lodge.

I too have heard very good things about Greenhead House.

Went to the old Wortley Arms 'Montagu's but only in the downstairs restaurant as no places upstairs which is £40 a head and the vegetarian options looked uninspiring. Downstairs is fine though. Thanks for the suggestions I have never heard of Greenhead house, will look it up on the web.

Unless they have had a cancellation you need months notice to get in at Greenhead House.
