Hi,

My lodger may be moving out around December/January and we've been talking about where to advertise for a replacement. The trouble is they can't be scared of snakes, lizards or crickets and they have to tolerate - and ideally like - Maisey, who can be very noisy. The other difference with us and most room renters is that we will also allow most pets (exept large dogs and cats).

I know I can (and will) post on the 'living in' section but are there any specialist sites for animal lovers? I would have thought there were tonnes of people around who struggle to find accomodation for their small zoos?

Thanks

Nb. This is not an advert, I have no idea when the room will be free yet as we may decide to have a month to ourselves or use the chance to rearrange the house.

You may be aswell to advertise in the hospitals and vets that take locums, trainees etc as they are sometimes looking for acommodation, you could put on the advert that they have to be able to live with your pets.

Hey... a vet or vet nurse would be a good move :hihi:

That's a great idea! Thinking about it, we have used the hospital before but my friend worked there and could use the intranet/internal emails. A vet/nurse would be cool, I think there's a couple relatively nearby.

Does anyone know if Sheffield College does vet/vet nurse courses? As that's very close by.

Yeah, we're going to be up front about that from the start.

Sounds like I might have a month or so longer before I need to advertise.... I found a few sites but they all have subscription costs. Of all places, The Sun, had a house hunting section especially for people with dogs but there wasn't a lot to it.

I can't beleive how orgainsed some people are - one person wanted a house from next September . So I have asked a few people (fingers crossed).
