I have to relate this story to you all.

Whilst leaving Meadowhall this evening with my son, we noticed a little kid playing with the public phone outside Argos. On his feet he had trainers with little blue lights on them which flashed - front to back - every time he moved his feet.

Now these are normal kids attire, I know this and am not having a go at the kiddie. After all, he looked 'cool' for a little 'un.

I remarked to my son that he looked a little bit like one of those sad boyracer cars with the neons underneath. My son replied, "Yes, but they don't flash like that!"

This incident forgotten we set off home in the car.

Half way up Jenkin Road there was a car waiting to pull out of a side road, and guess what,............ it had blue flashing lights on the underside which were flashing from back to front. HONEST!!!

Boy, was it a cool car. Early 1980s Fiesta with a roof rack.

I would not have believed this coincidence had I not seem it myself. Spooky.

Anyhow, if anyone knows this driver, can you tell him/her that a kid at Meadowhall is wearing his/her other trainer!
