An appeal to Apple: Incorporate AAC+ in iTunes media player. (http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/aacplusinitunes/)

It's free and takes less than a minute of your time. Thanks.

A little info on AAC+ (aacPlus).

AAC+ performs at low bitrates which is why Internet radio broadcasters are interested in it. An AAC+ radio stream @ 48k sounds very much like an mp3 stream at 128k.
This will give broadcasters much more bandwidth to play with which means more listerner slots for less money.
At the moment if you wanted to listen to a radio stream encoded in AAC+ you would need Winamp, VLC ,Foobar etc as iTunes can't handle AAC+.
I hope Apple will incorporate it but they are taking their time (hence this petition), AAC+ has been widely acknowledged as the most efficient codec for streaming audio for some time now.
