I know of a gay/lesbian if you'd want information about that??

If not then there's a monthly speed dating night at Haha. Think it's on a Tuesday, might be worth giving them a ring.

I know the Forum and the common room both have speed dating nights once a month. Go on their website for more info :)

This February, Museums Sheffield gives whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Art Lovers’ as Graves Gallery open its doors to offer Sheffield singleton’s the chance of romance. Adding an inspired twist to the speed dating phenomenon, ART Speed Dating sees Museums Sheffield turn matchmaker for a fun and relaxed evening offering a great opportunity to meet someone new.


Taking the stress out of speed dating, Museums Sheffield will provide all the talking points to help daters break the ice and get to know each other. No one needs to know their Picasso from their Pizarro – all the prompts will be simple questions inspired by the subject of the art works which just make it that bit easier to get the conversation started. Once daters have done a whirlwind tour of the gallery with a glass of wine or two, all that remains is to go away and decide who they’ve enjoyed talking to and might want to meet again. Don’t be bashful about taking part – great art has often been inspired by great romance, now it’s time to turn the tables!

ART Speed dating will divided into two separate age groups 21-35 years (Wednesday 4 February, 6.30-8.30pm) and 35-50 years (Wednesday 11 February, 6.30-8.30pm). On the whole, how do you rate the birds in attandance?

Also, can the women be assured that no sexist, il educated men will be there?

This is a camping site that I have been on for several years and is more directed toward pop up and hybrid campers but tons of great people and family oriented.

Here we go- no over 50s. I'm 51- would anyone notice? Do people suddenly become disinterested in art/dating when they reach this magical age?

You shouldn't be able to discriminate against age these days. It should be 35+ IMO. Obviously the Gay and Lesbian one Sheffield Pride are holding is available to all ages!

It does sound like something I would have gone to, and is good value compared to similar events I've heard of- but... I'm no cradle snatcher!!

the Student's union tends to do a Valentine's day one for charity. I don't know whether it is exclusively for students but the ceilidh is great for meeting people and open to all
