Has anyone trained thier cat to use the loo?

I'm sure I remember zerocool posting that they had bought a thingummy for them to try. I'd give him a PM for an update.

My cat used to have a wee in the loo regularly, every night it was flushed and clean and the next morning there was wee in it, it was a great un solved family mystery for years and I blamed the kids :hihi: then one day I caught her perched over the seat weeing, bless her she was a funny cat, she prefered to wee in things.... like the drain, the bath, the sink :suspect: and when she got really old and slightly mad our shoes :hihi:

My cat is terrible at using cat litter. The cat litter must be pristine, never used. We have to clean it out after every wee and pooh.

If we're too slow she uses the shower or bath for a wee and the floor next to the tray for a pooh.

Hence the interest in trying the loo

Yes lots of cats don't like used litter, didn't make much difference in her case she just used the loo :hihi: but I never taught her it was just one of her many quirks :love:

hiya am Zerocools wife, we started doing the training, got them to the 2nd tray with a bigger hole and then Arial got pregnant so we put the old litter tray back in.

It did work, others picked up on it first, ideally you need two toilets in the house as its annoying lifting the thing of the loo everytime.

It was expensive, probably i'll give to my mum to try with her cats.
