I don't know about that, but you may be the only one without a sense of humour.

See: "Dog Barking in Crookes" thread <http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=27399>

I'm a gay, apparently (though I don't live in Stocksbridge, happily). Had an Argentinian flatmate a while ago who had a friend over from Costa Rica. She had written to said chum a while before describing her life in florid terms and execrable handwriting. "I live with Phil," she scrawled, "he's a cool guy."

So imagine my surprise when Cookie (!?) turned up bearing gifts. My flatmate's was quite nice, but mine was a T-shirt bearing the legend "out and proud in New York" and a selection of quite incredibly informative glossy literature for the gentleman's gentleman. The week before I had gotten together with she who is now Mrs joyphil. Who fortunately saw the funny side of it. And bought my flatmate a decent pen.

Bit beyond that, old chap. Take a look outside, it's pitch dark.

I had to read that twice, but it did make me smile whe I got there!

I liked the Village People but I'd never have had a poster of them on my bedroom wall.
