Ryanair are launching a Doncaster-Dublin route from 28th April, flights are allready on sale and seem very reasonably priced!

I imagine a lot of stag and hen parties will be on those 'planes!

Check out Jet2.com. They often have deals at £1 each way from Leeds/Bradford to Amsterdam, Prague etc!

Nope. It's just that you're finally getting local access to cheap flights that other cities have had for many years!

I think the key word is "from" - excluding airport tax.

The first seat (or two) may be 49p. The second couple of seats om each flight may be £4.99. If you are unlucky enough to book the last couple of seats you are back up to "normal" airfare rates.

So, the moral is - book well ahead and be flexible about your travel dates if you want to pay 49p!

Well, I checked prices to fly to Dublin for the first weekend of operation, going out Friday and back Sunday. This is generally an expensive combination, as it is popular. It worked out at £29.98 return before taxes and charges, about £53.00 each in total, which is reasonable. I guess closer to departure the price will be much more though, as the cheaper seats are sold and the yield management kicks in!

I'm not sure if anyone is interested but there is a web page with all the routes from finningly on it at http://www.newcastleairportfan.co.uk/cheap-flights-to-and-from-Doncaster-Robin-Hood-Airport.htm

Great news about Dublin. I just booked and it's cost me £15 one way!
