As the title suggests, I would like to know if anyone has been to the club night called Groovin' for Grownups? It describes its self as:

"An irregular Sheffield night for clued-up older ones... Sounds like: 60s Soul/Ska/Jazz (dance)/50s Swing/Blues/Mambo/Bossa Nova/'Nice it up' 70s reggae. Feels like: A house party"

Its on this Friday night.

I've never been to this particular evening - but been to the Washington more times than I care to recall - its a great pub with a mixed (age wise) crowd. They recently put a dancefloor in and have had some top nights - a houseparty is quite an apt description - so well worth a visit

I have. I've been to every one. It's on every 2nd Friday of the month (next up: Dec 14th) and I think it's brilliant - although the management didn't clear the dancefloor on Friday so not much space for groovin :-(

Anyway I'm biased, cause I'm the DJ...

Thanks 4 the interest James.

i have been to this, and it is good if you cant be botherd to go to a club
but would prefer more varied music, i prefer the dance/indie music they play at DQ
i do like the pub though and its good for a late drink
