Just wondering if anybody is getting the apple phone which boasts having an ipod and phone capibility?
Do you think it is worth such a price plus having to be tied in with a 2 year contract with 02?

imo its not worth it and you can get similar phones for a lot less money and dont use EDGE technology.

The Nokia N95 apparantly has most of the features of the iPhone (Minus touch screen, and uses a mem card) and will prolly be cheaper. IMO, any contract that charges you £270 for the phone and THEN £35+ a month is taking the ****.
Lots of bad press for the iPhone in the states.

Sounds excellent. Is it only available with a contract?

you said it absolutely correct my friend.

If people want it I'd say that makes it the opposite of Vista.
For the price they're charging I think I'd rather have an iPod touch and a regular phone.
It doesn't break so easy "According to PC WORLD" so what that really means is, it's a bag of crap just like anything else american.
There's some pretty funny you-yube clips of that thing, like the 1 year old (That can hold a conversation... more like 3-4yr old) using it, the guy who throws it all over the place with no scratches or anything...?

As much as i love Apple, that is exactly what i'd do.
The price is the biggest problem with the iPhone for me. £260 for the phone and a 2 year contract at £35/month minimum (and it's lousy for minutes/texts you get at that!).
You might as well get a new free phone (which'll probably have a better camera than the iPhone) on your current contract (or keep your current phone, and negotiate a cheaper/better contract - whichever way you prefer it) and just buy the iPod touch for your music/photos/videos.

It's not even 3g so the internet on it would be rubbish.

it does have wi-fi, yes, but then so does the iPod Touch.
if someone really, really did want the iPhone then it might be worth seeing what the unlocked French version will retail for! :)
